The Marine Science Academy at Brien McMahon High School is a vibrant, field-based learning community for students passionate about the ocean, coastal environments, and marine industries. As part of the school’s pathway program, the Academy offers a four-year sequence of specialized courses that students take alongside their regular high school classes.
Located in Norwalk, Connecticut—home to a rich maritime history and a variety of marine career opportunities—the Academy blends academic learning with real-world experiences. Students benefit from:

Enrollment in the Marine Science Academy is by application only, available during the annual course selection process and High School Choice Lottery.
