BMHS Healthcare Academy Excels at HOSA State Leadership Conference
BMHS

On March 21, 2025, Brien McMahon’s Healthcare Academy and HOSA Club attended the State Leadership Conference at CT State Community College - Naugatuck Valley.

During the conference, students competed in a variety of events covering a wide range of healthcare careers and topics. Members also had the opportunity to network with peers and exhibitors, listen to an inspiring guest speaker, and participate in live workshops. These sessions explored key issues such as diagnosing patients in developing countries, partnering with organizations to promote bone marrow donation, discovering internship opportunities before and after college, and understanding autism from a medical professional’s perspective.

As the event concluded, awards were presented to the top five participants in each category. The top three winners in select events earned the opportunity to advance to the International Leadership Conference (ILC) in June. In the coming weeks, HOSA will be fundraising to support the trip to ILC in Nashville, Tennessee.

Congratulations to all our students for their dedication and achievements! We look forward to representing Brien McMahon at the International Leadership Conference in June!
