BMHS & CGS Computer Science Students Compete at CodeQuest

On Saturday, Feb. 28, our students traveled to Lockheed Martin to compete in CodeQuest, a prestigious tri-state coding competition, and they brought home outstanding results!
We sent four teams to the event: two representing Brien McMahon High School and two representing Center for Global Studies. Here's how our teams finished:
Advanced Division
• 1st Place - Ethan Beery, Nick Liu, David Smith
• 3rd Place - Jessica Muralles, Phoebe Strickland, Kayla Villafranca
• 8th Place - Vincent Acquila, Abir Das, Krish Shah
Novice Division
• 2nd Place - Damien Ahearn, Roberto Davidson, Lizandra Vidal
"I couldn't be more proud of the effort, focus, and teamwork our students demonstrated throughout the competition. Going up against talented coders from across the tri-state region, our students rose to the challenge and represented their schools with distinction. They also had fun and enjoyed the food!" said Paula Medina, BMHS and CGS Computer Science teacher and coach.
